One hundred years ago, three children began an awfully big adventure, led by the mischievous and unforgettable Peter Pan. Swept up in a cloud of fairy dust, they flew through their nursery window and took us all to Neverland. The second star to the right pointed the way to a make-believe world filled with colorful characters and limitless possibilities.
We all remember the first time we saw Peter Pan fly and how the spirit of eternal youth took hold of our hearts. What you may not know is that Peter’s creator, Sir James M. Barrie, gave the world another wonderful gift. In 1929, he turned over the copyright to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. Every time Peter Pan flies across a stage, or whenever the story is read, sick children benefit.
You do not have to be a child to join in the awfully big adventure that is the charitable legacy of Peter Pan.
Whether you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, retirement, or are just planning a get together with friends, turn into a fundraiser for the Peter Pan Children’s Fund.
Donations will be used to support our youth philanthropy initiatives including our education program that uses the story in classroom learning and introduces philanthropy in a very unique way.
The Peter Pan Children’s Fund is a 50lc(3) charitable organization and donations are 100% tax deductible.
